Reina Sofía, second visit

After the municipal museum, the Prado and the Thyssen-Bornemisza, I am completing in Madrid a classic tour in four days. Heading to the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, fourth piece of this museum ensemble that made the artistic reputation of the capital.

I am returning here for the second time.

And I clearly feel the saturation.

The Prado remains, for me, the strongest. The Thyssen, the most elegant and the most eclectic. The municipal museum, without comparison with the other kings. As for the Reina Sofía, it impresses with its volume and with Guernica, of course. But after the three others, the element of surprise has dulled.

I leave somewhat jaded.

Not disappointed. I will return there.
